Rosemary Beach Photographers | Marx Family

I will say it a thousand times and never mean it any less. It is one of the greatest joys to get to see families year after year. I LOVE watching your kids grow and families evolve! The Marx family is one of those families! Their two kiddos are the kindest, most well behaved kids on the planet. I love seeing them year after year!

Last year we met in Watersound Beach for their family portraits but this year we met up at the house they were staying at in Rosemary Beach! I always love to photograph the family at the house they are staying at first when possible. They spend a week here creating sweet memories, so it is only fitting! Plus, our homes in 30A are the most picturesque ever. This porch was the perfect spot to begin our session before we trotted down to the beach for sunset. They had already spent many mornings here drinking coffee and nights winding down with a glass of wine. For our session it was also the place we shared a few dance twirls. ;)

Where to even start with these two and their Rosemary Beach, Florida engagement portraits? Let's start with how stinking cute they are together! They flow together so easily without even trying!

Taylor (who is the genius behind Hazen & Co) has been coming to Rosemary Beach with her family for years, so naturally this was the perfect backdrop for her and Alex's engagement portraits! They captured the coastal style effortlessly but also the flare of Rosemary perfectly! But what you do you expect when you are a style expert who has been designing jewelry since she was nine years old. ;)

Watersound Beach Club Photographer | Glassman Family

There is nothing as quaint and breathtaking as the little community of Watersound, Florida to me! The houses remind me of something you would find up North and the winding boardwalks are out of a magazine!

I loved photographing the Glassman family here. They were vacationing with three generations in tow! It reminded me so much of my trips growing up that we would take here with my grandparents, cousins, parents, siblings, aunt and uncle!

Minutes before our session was to begin, the bottom fell out of nowhere! (This is Florida for you. Ha!) This didn't stop the Bell family. They said, "Why don't you come to our home and photograph us here?" Immediately my mind went to am I going to have enough light? Are they going to love these or be disappointed that we were not able to take any on the beach? And as you would have it, this ended up being one of my favorite sessions to date!

We started off taking photos of them on their porch in WaterColor, Florida then went inside for more candid portraits. Uncle Red grabbed his guitar and began to play while the girls ran around. These guys were such a pleasure to photograph!

WaterColor Florida Photographer Wanless Family

I love it when a family isn't afraid of color! These guys looked ADORABLE for their family portraits in WaterColor, Florida this Summer! They were the perfect combination of color, sunshine and beautifully put together!

If anything, these guys made me really reconsider my plans for our family. (Which we obviously found out earlier this year don't really matter anyways. Ha!) They made parenting four young kids look like a breeze and so much fun!

30A Family Photographer Anderson Maternity

Ashley was GLOWING. No, seriously. I haven't always believed in the pregnancy glow, and even now being pregnant myself, I definitely don't feel the glow (Ha!) but she definitely had it!

While the Anderson family was spending time together in WaterColor, Florida, I had the immense honor of photographing their growing family! They were the sweetest! And how GORGEOUS does this soon-to-be mom (again) look!

I absolutely love this family session because it is my sister and her gorgeous family!! They love the coastal dunes and overgrown trails in 30A, so it was a perfect combination!

I truly think one of the coolest perks of being a photographer is getting to create these portraits of my own family. It is so neat to know what stage of life they are in and be able to document that along the way! Sappy but true!

And how ADORABLE are their kids! I am biased but I also know they are the most beautiful kids ever! ;)

How To Store & Organize Your Photos

You have so many pictures between your iPhone, digital camera and professional photos. How in the world are you suppose to store and organize them all? More importantly, how are you to make sure that they don't get taken just to be forgotten about once you post them on Instagram. (Ahem. You know what I am talking about. We are all guilty!)

No matter the format, these pictures all represent a moment in our life that we valued. Those photos should be treated with just that - value!

Here are a few ways you can organize, store and even showcase your favorite pictures!

1. Make An Album.

This seems like such a duh thing but how many of us actually do it? Last year I went through years worth of iPhone and professional photos of our golden, Devo. I created a simple album with Artifact Uprising that now sits on our coffee table for guests to flip through! It isn't anything fancy because to be real, most of the pictures in it were from our phones, but I love having them preserved. I also professionally made our wedding album. It was more expensive, but it is higher quality, the color of the pictures remains true, the pages are thicker and it has a leather cover! We do not keep this on the coffee table but somewhere much safer - out of the reach of spilled drinks and wet dog noses. ;)

2. Frame Them.

Spruce up your walls with those babies! I lovingly refer to myself as a frame snob sometimes. It took me two years to hang any personal photos on our walls. (Embarrassing, I know.) The issue was that I couldn't find any frames that I liked and I knew if I didn't like the frame, I would get annoyed seeing it on my wall. Hopefully you are not like me but if you are, this past Christmas I asked for custom frames. Yes, it comes with a higher price tag but now I LOVE looking at these pictures on my wall!

3. Print Them.

Print. Your. Pictures. It doesn't matter if they are professional photos or iPhone ones! Print them so that they don't get lost on the web. I like to keep ours in beautiful containers or boxes around the house! It is a way to showcase them but make it to be apart of your decor!

4. Back Them Up x 2.

Our worse nightmare - and yours, too - is for you to download all of your photos onto your computer only for your computer to crash or die. I backup every image on my computer - client images and my personal ones - on to a secondary hard drive. I then take it a step further. All of our professional images that we have had made - I backup to a USB. I keep the USB in a safe place as insurance in case something were to happen to my computer and secondary hard drive.

Happy organizing! :)
